Royal Caribbean Partners With American Express

The unveiling of the final “neighborhood” aboard Oasis of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship launching in November 2009, is the center of a major joint promotion by American Express Travel and Royal Caribbean International. The cruise ship’s design features neighborhoods that will provide an array of experiences to cater to guests’ personal style, preferences or moods.

The unveiling of the final neighborhood, exclusively available to American Express Cardmembers, customers and travel agents, will take place on Tuesday, October 21 from 8:30-9:30 p.m., U.S. Eastern Time, via a live WebEx webcast.  Oasis of the Seas’ neighborhoods previously announced include Central Park, with lush tropical gardens; Boardwalk, a nostalgic seaside esplanade; Royal Promenade, an interior boulevard of shopping, entertainment and dining options; the Pool and Sports Zone; and the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center.

The webcast will be co-hosted by Adam Goldstein, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, and Lynne Biggar, senior vice president and general manager of the American Express Consumer Travel Network.

To celebrate, American Express Travel is offering an exclusive two-day sale on more than 100 2008 and 2009 Royal Caribbean sailings booked through American Express Travel on October 22 and 23, 2009. Offers vary by cruise. While there are no special offers for Oasis of the Seas’ itineraries, American Express Travel will be taking bookings for the highly anticipated ship.

American Express Travel announced its partnership with Royal Caribbean to unveil the final neighborhood of Oasis of the Seas—as well as the exclusive two-day sale—at its U.S. Representative Travel Network Conference in Seattle, October 5-8.
